1995 Rose Bowl Game
2003 Inductee

Oregon played in the Rose Bowl Game for the first time in 37 years in 1995. Although the final score did not fall in its favor—the Ducks lost 38–20 to Penn State—quarterback Danny O’Neil broke passing records that had stood for 33 years.

O’Neil completed 41 of 61 passes for 456 yards, breaking the records for completions, attempts and passing yards in a single Rose Bowl Game. All three marks still stand.

O’Neil only played one season of professional football with the Anaheim Piranhas of the Arena League before retiring to become a youth pastor.
