1992 Inductee

Two-time All-America end (1937 and 1938) Bill Daddio excelled on offense and defense, not to mention placekicking. It was this versatility displayed by Daddio that helped guide the University of Pittsburgh to its 21–0 win over Washington in the 1937 Rose Bowl Game. Daddio scored nine of Pitt’s 21 points: six on an interception returned for 71 yards and three more on extra-point conversions. Daddio was named Player of the Game. He played pro football with the NFL’s Chicago Cardinals and the AAFC’s Buffalo Bills before he returned to Pitt as an assistant coach. Daddio died in 1989 at the age of 72.
