Quarterback Brian Griese played college football at the University of Michigan, which he led to an undefeated season in 1997 and a share of the national championship.

Griese was selected Player of the Game in the 1998 Rose Bowl Game, passing for 251 yards and three touchdowns in Michigan’s 21–16 win over Washington State. Altogether, he went 17–5 as a starter at Michigan and was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft. Griese played for five teams over an 11-year NFL career.

After retiring from professional football in 2008, Griese has worked as a college football analyst at ESPN. He is also the founder and president of Judi’s House, a children’s grief support center, in Denver, Colorado.
