Steve Emtman helped lead Washington to consecutive Rose Bowl Game wins beginning in 1991 and a share of the national championship in 1992.

A two year starter, Emtman earned Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors in the Pac-10 Conference, and became the first sophomore to win the prestigious Morris Trophy as the conference’s top defensive lineman. As a junior, Emtman won the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy, and finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting.

Emtman left Washington after his junior year and was the number one overall selection in the 1992 NFL Draft by Indianapolis. He spent six seasons in the NFL with the Colts, Dolphins and Redskins. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
