For the fifth straight year more than 20 players who have played in or were on a roster for a team that played in a Rose Bowl Game were selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. A total of 23 Rose Bowl Game alumns were selected.
Alabama led the way with six players selected, while
Ohio State and
Wisconsin were just behind with five players selected each. Here is the breakdown of picks by round:

At least one player was drafted from each of the last five Rose Bowl Games, including players from both schools from the 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 games.
Some key drafted players from recent Rose Bowl Game history include First Team All-Americans Kayvon Thibodeaux (Oregon), Kyle Hamilton (Notre Dame) and Devin Lloyd (Utah).
In the 2022 Draft, 16 of the 32 NFL franchises having selected a player who has been a part of America's New Year's Celebration. The Denver Broncos led the way with three selections, followed by a cluster of teams who picked two players: New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, Washington Commanders, and LA Rams.
