Tournament of Roses - Rose Bowl Game

Karen has worked with the Tournament of Roses since 2014. In her role as the Rose Bowl Game Director or Marketing and Communications, she oversees media operations and marketing/sponsorship activations for the annual Rose Bowl Game.
 
In addition to her work with the Granddaddy of Them All, Karen worked with WME/IMG from 2015-2019, handling the PR and brand activation for Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin. She has also done contract work for the LA Sports Council, Angel City FC, NBC Olympics, World Lacrosse, and the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
 
Prior to joining the team at the Tournament of Roses, Karen worked at USA Swimming from 2007-2014. In her role as the Director of Public Relations and Social Media, Karen served as the media contact for the U.S. National Team at all major events, including the 2012 and 2008 Olympics. She also directed all media outreach, media relations and social media efforts for the 400,000-member organization that governed the sport of swimming across the nation.
 
From 2004-2007, Karen worked at Brener Zwikel and Associates, a boutique sports PR firm in Southern California. During her time at BZA, she worked as a PR contact for the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour and handled credential operations for various boxing and MMA events.
 
Karen is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations.
