Doug is in his 14th year working with the Rose Bowl Game; the first three as a member of the University of Wisconsin football staff and the last ten as a member of the Rose Bowl Game staff.
Doug joined the Rose Bowl Game staff as the Tom Mickle BCS Intern, a rotating internship that followed the BCS National Championship during the Bowl Championship Series era of college football. His intern year was for the 2014 Rose Bowl Game and the 2014 BCS National Championship.
Following his internship, Doug returned to school and received a Masters of Business Administration while working in the athletic department at Upper Iowa University. While working and studying, he returned to the Rose Bowl Game and assisted the media operations team as a game week media coordinator.
Upon completion of his masters program, Doug returned to the Rose Bowl Game in 2016 as a full-time media coordinator. In 2019, he was promoted to communications manager and shifted from a full-time employee to an independent contractor.
Doug is holds degrees in economics, journalism and reporting, and strategic communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently resides in Wisconsin with his wife, Jill, and daughter, Madison.
