2025 College Football Hall of Fame Ballot Features 18 Rose Bowl Game Alums

Fifteen players and three coaches that have participated in the Rose Bowl Game are on the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame ballot. The full ballot includes 77 players and nine coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision, along with 101 players and 34 coaches from the divisional level.

The announcement of the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame class will be made in early 2025 with the class officially inducted at the 67th National Football Foundation Annual Awards Dinner on December 9, 2025.

Among the candidates that played in The Granddaddy of Them All are three former Player of the Game recipients, Ki-Jana Carter (Penn State, 1995), Ken Dorsey (Miami, 2002) and Michael Huff (Texas, 2006). Additionally, Montee Ball (Wisconsin), who is the only player with three-straight 100 yard rushing performances in the Rose Bowl Game, and John Lee (UCLA), who holds the record for the most kicking points (24) and extra points made (15) in Rose Bowl Game history.

The three coaches with Rose Bowl Game coaching experience are among the greatest coaches of the last 20-plus years. Larry Coker led Miami to the BCS National Championship at the Rose Bowl Game in his first season as a head coach, becoming the first coach to win a national title in his first season since 1948. Urban Meyer finished his college coaching career with a victory in the 2019 Rose Bowl Game and finished with the third-highest winning percentage in FBS history. Finally, Nick Saban led Alabama to Pasadena three times, the 2010 BCS National Championship at the Rose Bowl Game and the 2021 and 2024 CFP Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game, winning in two of his three trips to The Granddaddy of Them All.

The College Football Hall of Fame was founded in 1951 by the National Football Foundation. More than 5 million people have coached or played in college football, but less than 1,300 are in the Hall of Fame.
